Kristin Fisher will join CNN in 2021. She will be the Space and Defense Correspondent. As a Space and Defense Correspondent she covers all aspects of space starting from NASA to the recently formed Space Force as well as commercial space companies and tourism in space. Being the daughter of 2 NASA astronauts Kristin was raised in the field of space and has was a part of the space industry for five years, covering the Biden and Trump Space Policy of the Administration as an White House Correspondent for FOX News. While covering the two presidential impeachment cases and the presidential campaign for 2020, as well as both administrations' efforts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus Kristin also covered a variety of other subjects. She also was on numerous trips with President and Vice President and was a part of a classified visit to Afghanistan with former President Donald Trump. Prior to joining the network in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through the local news channels including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman has led her to create Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for clients of corporate nature, such as Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Boston University. She lives with her husband and their two children in Washington, D.C., and is the mother of a 3-year-old daughter.
